History of InWIC?

The international Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing began in 1994 with the goal of supporting women in computing. The first regional version of this event began in 2004 with the Central Indiana Celebration of Women in Computing (CICWIC), now known as the Indiana Celebration of Women in Computing (InWIC). Several more regional WICs were started, with the majority of them, including InWIC, running events once every two years.

Based upon feedback received from attendees and sponsors at InWIC 2014, the organizers decided to make InWIC an annual event. As the group transitions to an annual fall event, in 2015, an InWIC event will be held in both spring and fall. People who support the goals of InWIC are encouraged to complete the contact form and get actively involved in making InWIC a successful, annual event.
